July 6, 2016 River Report

Hot fishing is about all you can say these days. Dry fly fishing at it’s best guides are saying. Healthy fish size and generally excellent condition of the Cutthroats has been the norm.

The Elk river conditions are near perfect with very clear conditions for this time of the season. We are seeing excellent hatches of Western Green Drakes, Caddis, PMD’s, and Lime Sally’s. The Golden Stones are still around with terrestrials like ants also found out there.

Streamer and nymph fishing has been good also
