And here is David’s river report for fishing the Elk River. The Elk is running at 158m3/s with a primary water level of 2.6 meters. And the Bull River is sitting at 105m3/s with a primary level of 2.2.
Even with the high water levels and low visibility, there are awesome angling opportunities to fish big dry flies. Because this is the time of year for the Golden Stones! We also recommend trying one of the many tributaries which will produce excellent results. The migratory bull trout are starting to show up at the bottom of the Elk and are certainly willing to eat!
