The rivers are now open! The Elk itself is still running high but clearing nicely and most of the tributaries have shaped up very well in the last few days and should be fishing well! We’ve been seeing Stonefly’s and caddis along the banks of the Elk and its tributaries!
Michel creek is in great shape and Coal creek is running crystal clear, these two tributaries are gems with excellent hatches of stone flies and Western green drakes.
Also with the cooler weather we have been receiving the waters should continue to drop and clear!
